What time is check in / out?

Check In is after 2.00pm and Check Out is before 10.00am. It would be appreciated if you could provide an estimated time of arrival.

Is linen included?

Cleaning, Linen and towels are included in the rate. We recommend you bring your own beach towel for the stream or for your outdoor activities in Rotorua. 

 

How many guests for an exclusive booking?

22 guests 

How many people for an intimate ceremony or corporate event.

5o including guests staying onsite

Can we wash our clothes?

The Lodge has a washing machine, drying rack, two heated towel rails, iron and board and an outdoor clothesline. The Country Room, Garden Room, and Courtyard Room do not have laundry facilities.

The homestead has a washing machine and outdoor clothesline 

 

What are the cooking facilities?

The lodge and homestead has full kitchen with a double wall oven, 4 element ceramic hotplate, microwave, crockpot, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a full range of cooking equipment and serving dishes to self cater for up to 22 people.

The Country Room has a kitchenette with a 2 element hotplate, microwave, electric frypan, kettle, toaster and under bench fridge, equipped for 2 people.
The Garden Room has a kitchenette with a 2 element hotplate, kettle, toaster, microwave and a fridge/freezer, equipped for 4 people.

The Courtyard Room does not have any cooking or breakfast facilities. this room has an ensuite.

Is breakfast available?

We can provide guests with continental breakfasts or any catering requirements. This is at an extra cost by prior arrangement. Please enquire.

Ask us about our grazing platters and bubbles on arrival or our bridal party packages.

 

Do we need to clean when we leave?

You are expected to leave the property tidy but we do all the cleaning after your departure.

 

Is the cleaning extra?

There is a cleaning fee is included in the room rate

 

Is there an extra cost for using the barbecue or firewood?

The Bbq is free to use we provide the gas bottles. We supply firewood in the winter 

What heating is there?

The Lodge has a wood burner and a ceiling fan which keeps it very warm and cosy in winter, and also an oil-fin heater.  There are two heated towel rails in the bathroom and both the showers in the The Lodge have heat lamps.

The Country Room has an oil-fin heater, electric blankets, a heated towel rail and heat lamp in the bathroom.

The Garden Room has a wall heater, electric blanket, a heated towel rail and a heat lamp in the bathroom.

The Courtyard Room has a wall heater, electric blanket, a heated towel rail and heat lamp in the bathroom.

The Homestead has a fireplace and heat pump.

Is there any storage for sporting equipment?

There is a garage adjoining The Lodge for mountain bikes and fishing rods, waders and boots we provide an extra fridge and deep freezer for over flow of food or offal 

Do you have Eftpos or take credit cards?

We quote and invoice our guests. 
It is preferable to either pay by internet banking or cash.

What is the cancellation policy?

Because of our intimate size late cancellations can affect us greatly. A 20% deposit may be required to confirm your booking, depending on circumstances.

Ngongotaha Village is a 5 minute drive – superette, petrol station, pharmacy, medical centre, bakeries, take aways, sports bar, liquor store, lotto shop, Eftpos machine / Westpac bank, Dynasty Café (highly recommended)

Nearest activitiesTrout fishing and swimming in the Ngongotaha Stream at the bottom of the garden and Lake Rotorua 5 minutes away.
Agroventures, Zorb, Agrodome, Skyline Skyrides, Rainbow Springs, Kiwi Encounter, Canopy tours, Paradise Valley Springs, are all within a 5 minute drive. Velocity valley, wingspan, trout hatchery, lion park, maze are all on the same road

How do we get there?

From the north – As you come down out of the Mamakus on State Highway 5 you will pass Western Road on the left which is signposted for Zorb and Agrodome. Go past this and take the next road on the right which is Paradise Valley Road. We are 2.8 km down this road on the right hand side – number 1099.

From the south – As you come into Rotorua turn left just before Te Puia onto Stage Highway 5. Continue on this road through all the traffic lights and roundabouts and you will be heading north out of Rotorua (past Skyline Skyrides). At the next roundabout turn left onto the main highway to Hamilton (SH5). Take the next road on the left which is Paradise Valley Road. We are 2.8 km down this road on the right hand side – number 1099.

NB – DO NOT TAKE THE TURN OFF BY THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT SAYS PARADISE VALLEY SPRINGS. This is the scenic drive around Mt Ngongotaha and takes longer to get here.
